Music (extra-curricular)

Mount Temple has a long heritage of music.  Today music is as alive as ever with a healthy culture of performance at the centre of the music department.

• Lunchtime recitals for all year groups where students have the opportunity to performance for staff and fellow students in a friendly lunchtime setting.
• Frequent trips organised to music performances, such as National Concert Hall, the Gaiety theatre.
• Private music lessons available to all students – singing, piano, drums and guitar available.
• Annual School Carol Service which includes the participation of over 300 students each year, with a large choir and school orchestra.
• Rehearsals for the 2012 Carol Service are taking place lunchtime on Monday and Thursday in M1 and G11 (not during exam time) All students are welcome to attend.
• School Choir who rehearse and perform at school events.
• All students are welcome to join the choir, we rehearse Monday afternoons from 4pm to 5pm.

Every year Mr Beatty takes a class of students for a Music Mini-Company.
