  • Stand Up Awareness Week 2018

    12 November 2018
This week, hundreds of second level schools across Ireland are taking a stand against homophobic, transphobic, and biphobic bullying. Recent research highlights the harrowing effects of anti-LGBTI+ bullying on the mental health of LGBTI+ youth. A huge 76% of LGBTI+ young people surveyed disclosed that anti-LGBTI+ bullying is a major source of anxiety in their lives. Stand Up Awareness Week is a time for your school to take a stand against anti-LGBTI+ bullying and create a safe space for all students to feel visible, valued, and included. Speaking about Stand Up Awareness Week, Minister for Education and Skills, Joe McHugh TD encouraged all schools to participate saying, "Our school years help to shape who we are and who we can become. We all have a responsibility to create a safe school environment, free from all discrimination and bullying including identity based bullying relating to sexual orientation and gender identity."
  • Buy a Brick campaign (for Hockey Pitch resurfacing).

    9 November 2018
Mount Temple in conjunction with Clontarf Hockey Club are seeking to raise funds over the coming year in order to resurface the school’s existing hockey pitch. We have recently applied for the Sports Capital Grant and hope to be successful in this application for €150,000. However, this will still leave a substantial shortfall in the financing of this project. We have a joint target to raise in excess of €100,000 in order to relay the pitch surface. The primary joint fundraiser is the ‘Buy A Brick’ campaign.  Please see attached PDF for more information.
