PISA – OECD Programme for International Student Assessment

PISA is an international study of the skills & knowledge of students aged 15 and 16.  It takes place every 3 years and this time 67 countries are participating and the focus is on Maths & Science.  Students were chosen randomly by the OECD and Mount Temple will be facilitating the testing on Thursday March 1st in the library.

This is an important process as it provides information on the strengths & weaknesses of the Irish Education system in comparison to other countries and also how well the education system is preparing students for life after school.

If you have been selected we would urge you to take part and don’t worry – you do not need to prepare in advance for PISA.

Grease

Costumes, props etc needed for the Show.  Detailed list will be available here shortly.

Any sponsorship or raffle prize donations also gratefully received – more detailed information available from Ms Finnegan.
