Science Gallery Visit

We will have a visitor from the Science Gallery at 12.45 on Monday 31st January.  There will be a demonstration of hyperbolic geometric shapes through the medium of crochet.  Materials will be supplied for any students or staff who would like to have a go.

As the demonstration will be taking place in the library,  places will be limited so please come along early.  There will be a follow-up visit on Monday 7th February.

Mount Temple Students perform at European Drama Festival Amsterdam

A group of 14 5th year students will participate in the European Drama Festival in Amsterdam, Holland from the 19th to the 24th of January. We are performing a play called ‘The Exam’ by Andy Hamilton directed by Ms. Doak. The play will transfer to Mount Temle Hall for a number of nights after the festival.

The cast consists of 14 5th year students.

Annual Worldwise Forum

A number of Mount Temple pupils from TY will participate in the annual WorldWise Forum, taking place on Thursday 27th January, 2011, in Croke Park (Hogan Suite) from 10am – 3:30pm. The theme for this years forum is ‘Seeds of Learning’.  Last year the forum welcomed over 400 students and 50 teachers from WorldWise schools and networks.  The  day is packed full of opportunities to meet other WorldWise participants, showcase your partnership project work, enjoy interactive workshops and listen to some of our special guest speakers!  Mount Temple school are partnered with Joy Standard College in Kumasi, Ghana

TY Play

After working with past-pupil Dan Colley in a series of play-writing workshops, a group of TY pupils have devised and are staging a play for 3 nights in Mount Temple Hall. Tickets are E5 and available on the door or from the school office.
